Joel Lamb
Joel was born in 1951, in Northern Iowa, in a minister's home with seven other siblings. He was saved at age seven and received a vision at nine years of age calling him to preach. At twelve he began learning the Bible by simply rewriting Biblical passages and the works of other authors. His first writings were a synopsis of the Pentateuch and the feasts of Israel.
From 1968 until 1973 Joel was closely mentored and in full time evangelistic ministry with Rev. James Salvador. During this time, Joel would give lectures on drug abuse and musical presentations at various vocational schools, Jr. and Sr. high schools and colleges. During their weekly television ministry he met and married his wife Rose in 1973. They continued in Evangelistic ministry until they were expecting their second child and in 1977 they accepted the pastorate of a small Oklahoma church.
In 1985 Joel, Rose and their 3 children moved to St. Louis, Missouri and became the pastors of Faith Fellowship Church. The church out grew their facilities and purchased the Mark Twain Elementary school with 15 acres of property. The name of the church was changed to Church Alive and shortly, The Centre was born, a performing arts and Bible college. Since that time Joel & Rose have been used to raise ministry and plant churches locally and around the world. Joel is an accomplished musician, song writer (2 recorded albums) worship leader and author but is most proud of his eleven grand children.
His new book is entitled, "In His Image". It deals with the 4 essentials of human life, given in Genesis 1-3, concerning, Identity, Responsibility, Need and Relationship.
Joel travels full time speaking at conferences, men's retreats, marriage seminars and missions. He is noted for his down to earth approach, humor, passion for the Father and straight forward biblical preaching, with a strong prophetic edge.
Joel's education has been first of all, by his mentors: the late James Salvador, Iverna Tompkins, R.L. Cornwall, and the late Judson Cornwall. His additional education was with Kingsway Bible College from 1973-1977and Shalom Seminary from 1990-1996 in Des Moines, Iowa.
