Free, But Not Feral
This sermon addressed a critical tension many believers face—the difference between the freedom Christ offers and the spiritual immaturity that can masquerade as that freedom.
Drawing from 1 Corinthians 5, we explored how the church in Corinth confused grace with permissiveness, celebrating behaviors that even their pagan neighbors found problematic. Paul's pastoral correction reminds us that genuine freedom in Christ isn't about doing whatever we want, but about being transformed into who we were always meant to be.
The message challenged us to examine whether we're living in the wholeness Jesus offers or if we've become "feral" in our faith—claiming freedom while rejecting the formation, boundaries, and accountability that make that freedom truly life-giving.
