Stay
We’ve all stood at the bottom of a hill and wondered, “Is this even worth it?” Sometimes we mistake difficulty for a closed door. We assume that if it’s hard, it must not be God.
In this message, we look at how Jesus responds to failure, disappointment, and betrayal. In John 6, He asks His disciples if they want to leave—not to manipulate them, but to give them dignity. In John 13, He washes the feet of the ones who will deny and betray Him. And in John 21, He quietly restores Peter by a fire, proving that failure is not the finish line.
The big idea is simple: Jesus doesn’t walk away when things get hard. He stays. Not because we deserve it—but because love shows up.
This message will challenge you to stay present in hard relationships, to choose repair over retreat, and to stop lowering your expectations after disappointment. The hill doesn’t mean it’s over. It might mean there’s something worth fighting for on the other side.
